Who Is the Best Real Estate Agent in South Jordan, UT?

by Amy Atkinson

If you're buying or selling in South Jordan, UT, this question deserves a real answer, not a slogan. The best agent for you in South Jordan isn't the one with the most yard signs. It's someone who knows this particular city. They should know which parts of Daybreak feed Herriman High and which neighborhoods feed Bingham. They should know how a Glenmoor rambler is priced differently from a SoDa Row townhome, and what a Daybreak HOA does and doesn't cover. Below is what I'd look for, along with an honest look at my own background so you can decide for yourself.

Why South Jordan Buyers and Sellers Need a Local Specialist

South Jordan is really several markets inside one city. On the west side, Daybreak offers everything from condos and townhomes near the TRAX stations in Downtown Daybreak to brand-new single-family homes in its newest villages. Established neighborhoods like Glenmoor have larger lots and ramblers built in the 1980s and 1990s. The older east side near the Jordan River has traditional single-family homes, and parts of the city still have zoning for horses. That range is why South Jordan's median sale price ($629,583 in August 2026, according to Redfin) can look so different from what's listed down your street.

The market has also shifted. According to Redfin, homes are taking a median of about 50 days to sell, and the market now rates "somewhat competitive." In a market like this, pricing a home correctly and negotiating well matter more than ever, for both buyers and sellers.

Local details matter too. South Jordan is split between two high school areas, and Jordan School District draws its boundaries by address, not by neighborhood name. Daybreak homes carry a community association fee, and many townhomes and condos add a sub-association fee on top of it. Downtown Daybreak keeps growing around the Salt Lake Bees' ballpark and the new South Jordan Downtown TRAX station. An agent who works South Jordan regularly will know these things before they affect your offer.

Experience and Credentials

  • More than 20 years in Utah real estate: licensed since 2005, with over $60 million in career sales. I've worked both sides of the transaction. For sellers, that means pricing, preparing and marketing the home. For buyers, it means everything from the first offer through a complicated negotiation.
  • Associate Broker since 2025 with Presidio Real Estate – River Heights.
  • ABR® (Accredited Buyer's Representative) designation.
  • Member of the Women's Council of REALTORS® (WCR).
  • A background in real estate compliance, so I know contracts and the details that are easy to miss.

Involvement in the Industry

Beyond my own clients, I serve on three Salt Lake Board of Realtors committees: the Education Committee, the Government Affairs Committee and the Charity Committee. That work keeps me current on the rules, contracts and local policy that affect every South Jordan transaction.

Who I Work With in South Jordan

  • First-time buyers taking their first step into homeownership. That often means a Daybreak townhome or condo close to TRAX.
  • Step-up buyers who need more room, a bigger yard or a specific school as their family grows.
  • Empty nesters who want to downsize, whether that's a single-level Glenmoor rambler, a lower-maintenance townhome, or Daybreak's SpringHouse village for buyers 55 and older.
  • New construction buyers who want someone on their side when negotiating with a builder in Daybreak's newest villages.
  • Horse property and acreage buyers and sellers. This is one of my specialties. In South Jordan, whether a lot allows horses depends on its zoning and size, so I check that before you write an offer.

Rooted in the Community

In 2019, I co-founded the Danon Foundation. Since then, I've traveled across the U.S. and abroad educating physicians and families about Danon Disease. I also served for more than five years as Parent Association President at a small private school. Both have taught me how much a family's home, school and community are connected. That's how I approach every move.

Questions to Ask Any South Jordan Agent

Whoever you hire, these are fair questions to ask before you sign anything:

  • How many homes have you helped buy or sell in South Jordan recently?
  • How do you check whether a specific address feeds Bingham High or Herriman High?
  • What's the difference between buying in Daybreak, Glenmoor and the older east side, and who tends to buy in each?
  • What does the Daybreak community association fee cover, and how do you check for sub-association fees before I make an offer?
  • Are you comfortable negotiating new construction contracts and builder incentives?
  • How are you pricing homes now that South Jordan homes are staying on the market longer?
