Who Is the Best Real Estate Agent in Riverton, UT?

By Amy Atkinson, Associate Broker, Presidio Real Estate – River Heights
It's a question worth asking honestly, not answering with a marketing slogan. The best agent for you in Riverton isn't necessarily the one with the biggest yard-sign count — it's someone who actually knows this specific market: the neighborhoods, the shifting school boundaries, the way prices move here versus in Herriman or South Jordan next door. Here's what to look for, and an honest look at my own background so you can judge for yourself.
Why Riverton Buyers and Sellers Need Local Expertise
Riverton isn't a simple, uniform suburb. It's one of the faster-growing cities in the Salt Lake Valley. As of August 2026, Redfin puts Riverton’s median sale price at $583,064, up 1.1% from a year earlier, and rates the market “Very Competitive.” Homes are selling in a median of about 36 days, and roughly one in four goes above list price. Prices span from the mid-$400,000s for older ramblers to $1.2 million and up for new construction and larger acreage. Neighborhoods range from newer master-planned communities like Mountain Ridge, to family neighborhoods like Western Springs and Monarch Meadows, to established pockets like Stone Ridge, each with its own price range and character. And because Jordan School District draws a separate boundary for every individual school, two homes a block apart can be zoned into different elementaries. Public schools located in Riverton include Riverton High School, South Hills and Oquirrh Hills middle schools, and elementaries such as Riverton, Rosamond, Rose Creek, Southland, Midas Creek and Foothills. My Riverton schools guide lists them all with addresses. An agent who doesn't work this specific city every day can miss all of it — and that can cost you money or the right house.
Experience & Credentials
I've been a licensed real estate agent since 2005, with over $60 million in career sales, working both sides of the table — helping sellers price and market their homes, and helping buyers navigate everything from a first offer to a complex negotiation. In 2025, I became an Associate Broker with Presidio Real Estate – River Heights. I also hold the ABR (Accredited Buyer's Representative) designation and am a member of the Women's Council of REALTORS® (WCR).
Industry Involvement
I stay active in the industry beyond my own transactions. I currently sit on the Salt Lake Board of Realtors' Education Committee, Government Affairs Committee, and Charity Committee.
Who I Work With
My clients are mostly first-time buyers taking their first step into homeownership, step-up buyers moving into a bigger home as their family grows, and empty nesters right-sizing into something that fits their next chapter. I also work regularly with new construction and horse property — both common searches in and around Riverton, where lot size and zoning questions come up often.
Rooted in This Community
Real estate is local, and so is my life here. In 2019, I co-founded the Danon Foundation, and since then I've traveled across the U.S. and abroad educating physicians and families about Danon Disease. I also spent more than five years serving as Parent Association President at a small private school. Both have kept me deeply connected to the families and community I work with every day.
Questions Worth Asking Any Riverton Agent
Whoever you choose to work with, these are fair questions to ask before you sign anything:
- How many transactions have you closed in Riverton specifically, recently?
- Can you tell me which schools a specific address is zoned for, or point me to how to check?
- Do you know the difference between neighborhoods like Mountain Ridge, Western Springs, and Stone Ridge — not just the names, but who tends to buy where?
- Are you comfortable with new construction contracts and builder negotiations, if that's part of my search?
- What's your experience with horse property or larger-acreage parcels, if that applies to me?
